Sugar Creek English SettersWe have a new litter due to whelp shortly after Christmas from our female Sugar Creek Chiquita (we call her Chica, OFA hips Good and elbows Normal ) and a Goodgoing male named Goodgoing Trooper Run (OFA hips Excellent and elbows Normal). Chica has proven a strong 4 year old performer, having retrieved almost every bird shot over her points in the last two years including wild pheasants and bobwhite quail along with her “bread and butter” ruffed grouse and woodcock. Trooper has extensive experience on grouse and woodcock along with prairie birds like pheasants, Hungarian partridge and sharptails. His pedigree includes the classic West Virginia Ryman types, Pinecoble, October and other lines that are Goodgoing’s own version of the classic Ryman type English Setter. We like the size, about 60 lbs., and dash of both the sire and dam. Both dogs are BAER tested and present many generations of OFA hip evaluations in their pedigrees. Sugar Creek puppies go to new homes after BAER testing to confirm bi-lateral hearing and are microchipped.
